Frequently Asked Questions
Will these outdoor rugs mildew if they get wet?
Polypropylene rugs dry quickly and resist mildew better than natural fibers, but prolonged wetness can still cause problems. Choose a rug that can be hosed and dried thoroughly, avoid trapping moisture under the rug, and store during extended wet seasons for longest life.
Do I need a rug pad for an outdoor polypropylene rug?
A thin outdoor rug pad is recommended on hard surfaces to prevent movement, add underfoot cushion, and create airflow that helps the rug dry faster. Use a pad rated for outdoor use (non-staining and moisture-friendly).
How do I prevent color fading from sun exposure?
Place rugs in covered or shaded areas when possible, rotate periodically to equalize sun exposure, and rinse or clean gently as directed. Even durable polypropylene may show color shift after extended direct sun, so plan placement and rotation accordingly.
